Set in Cork, I can almost hear the Irish accents as Lilly and her family make the best of a horrible situation. Lilly is a complex character, and I love how she grows throughout the story. If you like adventure and genuine affection that turns into love, this book is for you. Hold on. There are dragons and unicorns too! The storyline is unique, with a twist at the end that I did not expect.
I am looking forward to reading book 2!

is it possible that I enjoyed this book even more than the first ~ when I completely loved the first??! I don’t know. I have not reached my final verdict on this but I have to say I enjoyed every moment of this adventure! The intensity of the main characters inner lives and the relationship between them, continuously touched by this inner intensity ~ well it was pretty thrilling! Once again, I loved the camaraderie between the siblings, the humour, the messing with each other. These books have a way of being so otherworldly and so completely current at the same time! I loved this book for the magical, mystical, passion-filled adventure it took me on. I very much enjoyed the humour and wit in the subtext and thought process of our lead character and in the interplay between siblings and lovers. Lilly is a very real person with fears and insecurities, vulnerabilities, hidden gifts and a powerful love for her family. It’s wonderful to get to know her as the story unfolds. I also loved the passion and desire in the unfolding love story. Such a good read! I can really see this becoming a Netflix series . I’m going to read the next one now!
